ClientOddlaab, an independent record label focused on innovative lofi hip-hop, approached me to create a new name, brand strategy, and visual identity that would help them stand out in the competitive lofi community.

RoleTo help the label differentiate itself, I shifted the focus of lofi music from merely 'background' sound to spotlighting the musicians and producers behind it. I named it Oddlaab to capture its experimental vibe, designed a mascot to foster community engagement, and chose mint green to convey freshness and creativity, ensuring the brand identity was both visually engaging and aligned with the label’s values.












ApproachWorking closely with the client, we developed a unique brand strategy using a user-first approach, bringing the artistry behind the music to the forefront. I designed assets for digital platforms, social media, and merchandise, ensuring brand consistency across all touchpoints.










Outcome
The new visual identity successfully highlighted the musicians and producers, offering a more personal connection to the audience. This distinct brand identity helped Oddlaab stand out in the lofi music scene, boosting engagement and solidifying their presence in a growing market.
